Awoke after a very good night's sleep and had breakfast before catching the bus from outside the YHA after having commended the receptionist at Dunedin YHA for it's quality.
As we left Dunedin, we stopped to see the world's steepest street, Baldwin St, to walk up and take photos.
A Little later on we stopped to take more pictures of Mt Cook this time from the South East (on the opposite side to Franz Josef).
On the bus had a long chat with Crystal about her life etc.
We arrived in Lake Tekapo in the afternoon. The lake was a marverlous azur blue colour and the views of the Lake from the tiny Church on the Lake front very very picturesque.
Played ping-pong with the Hostel managers' son (14 yrs) who could play with a paddle in both the left and right hands (à la Forrest Gump). He was very chatty and it helped pass the time.
Idly played on the YHA guitar for a bit before walking to the backpacker place down the road for a BBQ cookde on a gas stove which was very easy to cook on. We stayed outdoors until 11:30pm until we were too tired and cold to sit and talk anymore. It was strange to think that it was our last voyage on the Magic Bus the next day.
