Got up v early in order to find Pak n Save only to find that it was closed. Set of at 8:45am to go to Taupo. Stopped off at the Lady Knoxx geyser which was triggered to erupt at 10:15am by a park warden tipping in some soap flakes. The plume of water shot some 10 metres into the air and gave some onlooking tourists a shower.
After the show we had an hour walking around the Wia-O-tapu national park where the hot springs had turned the rocks various colours depending on the mineral content.
We arrived in Taupo at 3 pm in the pouring rain so no sky-diving. I ended up cooking Spag boll for us 4 and after talking for a while to three Brits with whom I was sharing a room we went to Mulligans pub for darts, beer and pub quiz.
Walked Crystal home at about 11:30pm.
